Nalanda Public School began its journey on 15th June 1992 under Gurudeva Educational Trust, Kochi. Nalanda Public School, a prestigious institution in Kochi having a sprawling campus spread over 2.15 acres of land. The school has students in age groups that range between 3.5 and 18, in classes K.G to Senior Secondary and follows the curriculum specified by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Science and Commerce subjects are offered in Class XI and XII of the curriculum. The current student strength is over 1200 with an average of 35 students in a class. The school offers a variety of co-curricular activities and encourages students to choose from a host of activity clubs with social, literary, cultural and sporting options.Kho-Kho, Badminton, volley ball, hand ball, Table tennis and Yoga classes are held within school hours. Additional training in chess, karate and school band gives our students ample scope for indulging in Physical exercise with specialized coaching in case of exceptional skill and talent. In addition to Craft, Music (Vocal and various instruments) and Dance classes during normal school hours, Debating, Quizzing, Dramatics, Self Defense for girls classes are some of the other activities that are encouraged and supported by the school with professional trainers coaching students after school hours.
